Leukaemia Matters - Summer 2022

In this issue, we give you all the latest updates for each leukaemia subtype, including updates from the recent British Society for Haematology (BSH) event that took place at the beginning of April.

We also have a variety of patient stories, such as Peter and his stem cell donor David on page 12, who will be sharing their 10 year transplant anniversary this coming year, as well as Gill and Margaret on page 28, two essential thrombocythemia (ET) patients who met through our buddy service, to find they only lived on village away from one another!

On page 23, we spoke to Dr Anne Katz, a certified sexuality counsellor and clinical nurse specialist, author, editor and educator, on how a blood cancer diagnosis can take effect on sexuality and relationships ahead of Pride Month.

Lastly in this issue, we’ll prepare you for all things COVID-19 and travelling ahead of this Summer and new volunteering opportunities you might want to get involved with.
